Verbs that end in consonant + 'y'



Rules for verbs that end in consonants + 'y': 

  1. Verbs ending in consonant + 'y' in present tense change the 'y' for an 'i' and add 'es'.
  2. All verbs ending in consonant + 'y' in preset participle add 'ing'.
  3. Verbs ending in consonant + 'y' in simple past and past participle change the 'y' for an 'i' and add 'ed'
